2. Ideation
The project was conceived around the idea of raw functionality. Inspiration was taken from popular media to inform the design's shape. Early in the process, a decision was made to give the front of the vehicle loosely attached side axles on the, as this would help the car complete full turns in dangerous and uneven areas and prevent. The exploration of the vehicle's shape was done to establish a form that would be simultaneously fast but stable.
3. Functionality
The YNP Rescue contains many elements that allow it to serve its many environmental functions. This includes a seat layout that fits 2 people comfortably, a driver and a victim. The seat is collapsible and expandable to allow for different accommodations.
In addition, the vehicle is equipped in the front with a first aid kit. The sides of the vehicle contain additional supplies, including animal repellent and sleeping darts for dangerous, life-threatening situations.
Raising the backseat of the vehicle reveals storage for rescue supplies including: a lifesaver, nylon rope, gloves, GPS, hatchet, pulleys, harnesses, and a fire extinguisher.
